Honoured Test Pilot of the USSR

Honoured Test Pilot of the USSR was an honorary title of the Soviet Union established by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet on 14 August 1958. It was awarded to first-class test pilots of the aviation industry and the Ministry of Defence for many years of creative work in flight testing and research of new aviation technology that made a substantial contribution to the progress of Soviet aviation. Recipients received a certificate of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet and the prescribed breast badge.
