Vyacheslav Konstantinovich Romanov

ROMANOV Vyacheslav Konstantinovich (1862–1879) was the youngest son of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich and Grand Duchess Alexandra Iosifovna. He was born in Warsaw on 1 July (Julian) / 13 July (Gregorian) 1862 while his father served as viceroy of Congress Poland. He died in Saint Petersburg on 15 February (Julian) / 27 February (Gregorian) 1879, before reaching the age of seventeen. Initially buried in the Peter and Paul Cathedral, his remains were later transferred to the Grand Ducal Burial Vault. His short life is documented chiefly in records of the Russian imperial family.
