Medal of Saint Peter the Apostle, 1st Class

The Medal of Saint Peter the Apostle, 1st Class is a diocesan award of the Saint Petersburg Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The 1st Class is documented in official publications from at least 2008; by 2016 the sources record 1st and 2nd Classes in parallel. Gold, silver and other Medals of Saint Peter without a class designation also existed separately; the gold and silver lines of 2003 are explicitly described as jubilee awards for the 300th anniversary of Saint Petersburg. The award class is therefore not automatically identified with a colour or material designation. In 2025 the Medal of Saint Peter in three classes was approved in a new design and entered in the register of awards of the Russian Orthodox Church.
