Alexandra Andreevna Chernova
CHERNOVA Alexandra Andreevna is a Russian sculptor and medal artist working as an artist at the Design Center of JSC Goznak. In 2017 she graduated with honours in sculpture from the N. K. Roerich Saint Petersburg Art School, then continued her studies at the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where she studied in the sculpture department and worked in the medallic art workshop. She received an Academy of Arts medal for academic achievement. In 2021, while still a student, she was hired by Goznak's Design Center. Her first coin struck at the Saint Petersburg Mint was "Island-Town of Sviyazhsk", for which she created both the sketch and the sculptural model. She subsequently contributed to commemorative coins and medals produced by Goznak. In 2024 her medals dedicated to Karl Bryullov, Vasily Demut-Malinovsky and linguist Andrey Zaliznyak won first place in the Medallic Art category of the Russia. 21st Century jewellery art competition organized by Gokhran of Russia.
