Prince Edward
PRINCE EDWARD is a member of the British royal family. He was born at Buckingham Palace on 10 March 1964 and was given the full name Edward Antony Richard Louis. His parents are Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He attended Heatherdown Preparatory School and Gordonstoun School and studied at Jesus College, Cambridge, from 1983 to 1986. He was associated with the Royal Marines as a University Cadet. He later worked in theatre, including with the Really Useful Theatre Company; in 1993 he founded Ardent Productions and ended active commercial work in 2002. In 1986 he received the Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award. On 19 June 1999 he married Sophie Rhys-Jones, now Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh; their children are Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex. On 10 March 2023 Edward was granted the title Duke of Edinburgh for his lifetime.
